リチャード・スペックアメリカ各地で強盗、殺人、レイプなどの犯罪を重ねた連続殺人犯。最悪の家庭環境に育ち、負傷による脳障害を持ち、アルコール・麻薬依存症にもかかっていた。1966年7月13日、イリノイ州シカゴで看護婦寮に侵入、強盗を働いた上に女性八人を殺害。
